After the stay-at-home order in mid-March, it became apparent that special resources were needed to support Ohio families, farmers, and workers during the crisis. OSU Extension professionals, Ohio State’s statewide network of researchers, and faculty at CFAES did what they do best. They created resources, virtual programs, blog posts, and videos to address the changing world.
The Knowledge Exchange, in partnership with OSU Extension and the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, quickly created the CFAES COVID-19 Hub (kx.osu.edu/covid-19), a central location housing the world-class research and wealth of knowledge related to COVID-19, available across the college and the university, along with links to other land-grant entities and pertinent news articles.
Divided into six topical “buckets” for easy exploration, the COVID-19 Hub is continuously updated to ensure that information is accurate and current. Users from across Ohio and the world have visited it 54,063 times since its April 1 launch.
The Knowledge Exchange, whose new site launched in October, was created to translate and amplify research from CFAES for Extension professionals, decision-makers, and the general public. Visit kx.osu.edu for insights into the research addressing CFAES’ grand challenges.
