South Centers programs aid small businesses during health crisis

Entrepreneurs have always counted on The Ohio State University South Centers and its Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to start or grow a business, and now the services the center provides are more crucial than ever.

South Centers’ SBDC and Manufacturing Extension Partnership are helping businesses navigate through the COVID-19 crisis by helping them apply for CARES Act economic assistance programs and through specialized consulting services.

A family-owned donut shop, which was able to maintain operations through the pandemic shutdown, and an automotive company that received a $700,000 payroll protection loan are just two businesses to benefit from these services.

Most services offered by SBDC are free and available to both new and established business owners. Learn more at go.osu.edu/sbdc or call 740-289-2071, ext. 301 to schedule an appointment with a business counselor.
