Farm to Fork to Future: A legacy of feeding to leading

For Bob Jones Jr. ’89, farming is more than a tradition; it’s a responsibility. 

As director of production at The Chef’s Garden, Jones Jr. has pioneered regenerative agriculture, ensuring the land is not just preserved but improved for future generations. His commitment to soil health, sustainability, and collaboration with CFAES researchers has helped reshape modern farming. 

A 2024 CFAES Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, Jones Jr. remains deeply engaged with Ohio State, giving back through research partnerships and philanthropy. 

“No one of us is as smart as all of us,” he said, emphasizing the power of shared knowledge in advancing agriculture’s future.
